First impressions can be everything in business, especially when you are dealing with customers. That is why you have to consider every aspect of your personal presentation that can draw a client in.

One of the most basic types of advertising for your company is your business cards. When you are choosing a design, you want to have a logo that is easy to print and for a customer to remember. There are software programs available that allow you to design your own, or you hire a professional to do it for you. You will need to have the basic information for your business, including the:  title, your name, address, phone, email and website. You can also a little blurb if there is room regarding your motto or the services you offer.

Another aspect to consider is your personal appearance. Unless your job dictates otherwise, always be professionally dressed when you meet with a client. If you do have to meet them in casual or work clothes, make sure that they are pressed, clean and have no holes. This small attention to detail can be impressive to a client. It shows that you care enough about him or her to take the time to dress neatly.

When you send an e-mail or mail a letter to a client, make sure that it is neatly set up and that there are no mistakes. Bad spelling and grammar can leave a bad taste to a client. When you take these small things into consideration, you will have a better chance of making a good first impression.
